Depression

Depression can feel like life has lost some of its color. You may still be showing up—working, parenting, staying busy—but internally everything feels heavier, slower, or more distant. Sometimes it’s a deep tiredness that doesn’t resolve with rest. Sometimes it’s numbness, disconnection, or a quiet sense that joy and motivation are harder to reach than they used to be.

Depression can affect nearly every part of life, including relationships, focus, sleep, appetite, and self-worth. For some people it shows up as persistent fatigue or difficulty making decisions. For others it looks like withdrawal, self-criticism, or a sense of hopelessness that comes in waves. Whatever form it takes, depression is more than simply feeling “down.” It’s a complex emotional experience that deserves real care and attention.

Therapy offers a place to slow down and begin making sense of what you’ve been carrying. Together we can explore the patterns, experiences, and inner dynamics that keep depression in place while gradually reconnecting you with parts of yourself that may feel quiet or unreachable right now. With time and support, many people begin to notice meaningful shifts—more clarity, more emotional space, and moments of connection that start to feel possible again. I offer virtual therapy for depression to clients across Texas.

My approach to depression is integrative and collaborative. We might work with thought patterns using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), explore different internal parts through Internal Family Systems (IFS), or look at how earlier attachment experiences continue to influence present emotional responses. At times we may also explore deeper questions about identity, meaning, and direction through an existential lens. For clients seeking a deeper experiential process, I also offer in-person Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) in Austin as part of a carefully supported therapeutic framework.

Depression can make it feel as though nothing will change, but change often begins in small and meaningful ways.

I offer a free 60-minute consultation so we can talk about what you’re going through and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
