Ketamine-Assisted
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) combines a low-dose ketamine experience with supportive, integrative psychotherapy. For some people, it can create a different kind of access to emotion and insight—especially when they’ve been feeling stuck in familiar patterns for a long time.
In my practice, ketamine is administered onsite in Austin by a board-certified physician in a safe, comfortable clinical setting. During the session, the medicine’s dissociative effects may help loosen rigid thought loops and create a bit more psychological distance—often making it easier to relate to painful material with less fear and more perspective.
This work isn’t only about the medicine session. The therapy before and after is what helps turn insight into lasting change. We’ll prepare intentionally, and then we’ll use integration sessions to explore what came up, make meaning of it, and translate it into practical shifts in how you relate to yourself, your relationships, and your life. Many clients describe feeling more clarity, emotional flexibility, and a renewed sense of connection to what matters most.
It’s also important to know that KAP isn’t the right fit for everyone. We’ll take time to review your goals, history, and support system, and we’ll collaborate with the medical provider to ensure the process is clinically appropriate and aligned with your needs.
KAP is one part of my integrative work as a therapist. If you’d like, you can also learn more about how I approach therapy.
