Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) views the mind as made up of different “parts,” each with its own feelings, beliefs, and protective role. Some parts may carry pain, fear, or shame, while others work hard to keep you from feeling overwhelmed. In therapy, we get curious about these parts rather than trying to push them away, helping you understand what they’re protecting and relate to yourself with more compassion. IFS also emphasizes the qualities of Self—such as calm, curiosity, and compassion—which can help bring more balance to your internal system.
